A new plant project for a well-known U.S. steel pipe manufacturing group, for which Weima Electric provided the drive system, is nearing completion. For this project, Weima Electric successfully delivered a total of 46 TECO high-performance motors compliant with NEMA standards (hyperlink), including 41 AEHH series low-voltage motors and 5 AFJN series high-voltage motors. All low-voltage motors have been delivered and are currently undergoing installation and commissioning, while the first high-power high-voltage motor has also arrived safely on site, injecting a powerful “driving force” into the timely commissioning of this modern factory.
The customer is a key player in the U.S. steel pipe manufacturing industry. Its new plant aims to expand production capacity for high-end, specialty steel pipes to meet the growing demands of the energy, construction, and heavy machinery sectors. The new facility extensively employs automated production lines and precision machining equipment, placing extremely high demands on the drive system—the “heart” of the plant. It requires not only superior energy efficiency and reliable stability to ensure continuous production, but also strong overload capacity and precise control characteristics to meet complex process requirements.
